These include the following: Shropshire Union Canal SocietyThe Shropshire Union Canal Society has underwritten the event and has also provided resources and general support. The Society has been undertaking restoration work on the canal for over 40 years and has launched a Barrow of Boulders Appeal to help pay for the materials required to complete the lining of the canal between Redwith Bridge and Prices Bridge very near to Maesbury. The Society will be at the festival, providing information on its work, providing tours of the restoration site and promoting the appeal. Inland Waterways Association (IWA)The Shrewsbury and North Wales branch of the IWA has provided support for the organisation of the festival and you will see branch members helping out at the weekend. The IWA are also providing market stalls, gazebos, fire extinguishers and other items of equipment required to support the festival.
