Event info

What time do we start the fun? The event opens at 11 am and finishes at 4pm. Please see our schedule page for a full list of what’s happening so you don’t miss anything you would love!

How to get there

The event is being held along the banks of the canal from Stonehouse Court Hotel to St Cyr’s Church and then along to Boakes Drive.

Parking is extremely limited, we advise that, if possible, you don’t come by car. Boakes Drive and Court Farm Mews will both be closed to all traffic except resident’s vehicles.

Coming from Stonehouse?

Please walk to the event if you can.

Coming from further afield?

Public Transport

There are lots of buses and trains to Stonehouse and the event will be signposted from the train station and bus stops. If you are coming from Stroud the car parks are free on a Sunday, why not park there and catch the bus or train?

Cycling

The canal tow path is a wonderful way to arrive at the event, restored and maintained by our amazing volunteers it is now a wide, flat surface perfect for cyclists big and small. This is a shared space so please give way to pedestrians.

We will have lots of bicycle parking at the event for you to lock up your bike when you get there. Bicycle racks will be located on the front lawn of Stonehouse Court Hotel.

By foot

It’s a lovely walk along the canal tow path to the event.

Blue Badge Visitors

We will have a limited amount of Blue Badge parking at Stonehouse Court Hotel. If you have a Blue Badge, and there is still availability, our gate staff can give you access to the car park.

Accessibility

We hope that we have made the site as accessible as possible so that we can welcome as many people as possible to join us.

The site is mostly flat and of a good terrain.

We have:

  • Blue Badge parking at Stonehouse Court Hotel
  • Mobiloo at Stonehouse Court Hotel
  • Accessible toilets around the site
  • A quiet space for anyone needing some time away from the crowds
  • Accessible boat trips`

If you have any questions regarding accessibility and the layout of the site please get in touch at info@cotswoldcanalsconnected.org

Dogs

Your four-legged friend doesn’t need to miss out on the fun. Dogs are welcome at the site but must be kept on a lead at all times. We even have Teckels Animal Shelter joining us to do a dog show so your dog can strut its stuff for the crowds. I’m sure we don’t need to tell you this but always pick up any poop!

Lost Children

We have two designated Lost Children points, one at Boakes Drive and one at Stonehouse Court Hotel. Both are signposted or as a member of the crew for directions.

Alcohol

This is a family event and we ask that guests do not bring their own alcohol onto the site. Stonehouse Court Hotel will be selling alcohol and there are stalls selling alcohol at Boakes Drive.

Glass

Please do not bring glass to the event. Boakes Drive green is a residential area that children use for playing, we do not want to make this area hazardous for them.
